Philosophy
As an RN Geriatric Care Manager, and 2003 member of The National Association Of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM), my objective is to assess the comprehensive medical, personal and financial needs of my clients
and their families, and to arrange the highest quality of care services, on every level, to meet these needs.
Since 1973, as a City University of New York graduate with honors in Nursing, and New York State licensed Professional
Registered Nurse who is fully bilingual in Spanish, I have been successfully and continuously practicing in major
New York City Hospitals (Einstein-Weiler/Montefiore Medical Center; Our Lady
Of Mercy Medical Center; Cabrini Medical Center; Bronx State Psychiatric Hospital; Bronx Children's
Psychiatric Center) ; Skilled-Nursing and Subacute Facilities (Cabrini Center For Nursing
And Rehabilitation; Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center; Kings Harbor MultiCare Center; Kingsbridge
Heights Rehabilitation And Nursing Care Center; United Oddfellow And Rebekah Home; Jewish Home and Hospital; Bronx Developmental Center; Richmond Children's Center); Rehabilitation Units (Cabrini

Since 1980, as a Long-Term Care Placement Manager; Admissions Manager;
Geriatric and Rehabilitation Unit Manager; Resident Assessment/Quality Assurance/Utilization Review/Managed Care/ Medicare
Manager; Dementia Research RN; and Case Management Supervisor for
these facilities, my experience has been specialized in the field of Geriatric Case- Management. The extensive
and diverse knowledge base and professional contact network that I have established, and update on an ongoing basis,

I know, and will refer you to the best facilities/agencies and their key contact people. As a
N.Y.S. Department of Health certified skilled- nursing facility PRI/ Screen/MDS assessor, I will complete the required
forms for home care referral and long-term care nursing home/skilled-nursing facility/ subacute care/short-term
rehabilitation facility admission. I will personally escort you through facilities of your choice, and inform you
about their strengths and deficiencies. I will explain Medicare/Medicaid/private and managed care insurance coverage
and requirements, and refer you to Elder Law Attorneys for estate-planning and financial advisement if needed.
